My work, heavily influenced by the works of Turner and other 19th Century Romanticists as well as mid 20th Century Abstract Expressionists, is to discover how far our energies will carry us beyond the discomfort inherent in our everyday lives. If nature is the physical poetry of the world, then our energies are the poetic expression of humanity. My work continually explores expression of our human nature: its power, its beauty and most importantly, its truth.
